- Provide process technological monitoring and advise on highly integrated Gas and Utilities sections of Shell MDS plant. Process units include Air Separation and Cryogenic treatment, Nitrogen and Plant & Instrument air systems, Fuel gas, Boiler fuel gas and Natural gas systems, Power Generation unit, the Hot Oil system.
- Assure process design, technical integrity and process unit performance, and to provide technological advice on plant operation and optimization. Responsible for catalyst performance, new catalyst acquisition, implementation and disposal.
- Provide trouble shooting and incident investigation to identify/develop process improvements and plant modifications per SMDS Management of Change and minor project process development.
- Initiate process design and assurance to plant modification as per assigned technical authority according to Management of Change procedure.
- Provide technological advice to process units’ operating conditions, alarm management development and proactive technical monitoring to ensure safe production (ESP) and asset integrity.
- Provides technological content for plant performance reports to include process, catalyst and equipment of the assigned process. Participate in process incident investigation and process improvement proposal to ensure optimal integrated solution for capital project initiation.
- Delivery of establishing business case for minor/major project proposal by providing the feasibility study/key investigation in the project Assess phase, and front end process design for the Basis for Design (BfD) and Process Design Package in the project Select/Define phase.
- Responsible in the development of new catalyst, new catalyst acquisition, implementation and disposal in the assigned units.
- Process custodian to the unit process safeguarding documentation viz. Process Safeguarding Memorandum, Process Safeguarding Narratives of the assigned units. Provide consistency and accurate documentation of operating manuals, operating procedures including unit start-up, unit shutdown and special operation such as catalyst loading/unloading and conditioning etc.
- Contribute to improve safe and flawless operation and Group standard/program implementation on site in process integrity, define safe operating window and limits for safe unit operations.
- Provide technology support to the commissioning, start-up of additional facilities of existing plant and new facilities/projects. Provide support to post implementation review of MOC and minor project, participate in lesson learned documentation and knowledge management.
- Specific knowledge coverage for this position include Oxygen system knowledge management and as member of Shell Oxygen SME Network.
- Coach and guide junior technologists in the team

This role as B2B Lubricants Brand Manager is to delight B2B customers with unique, insights-based propositions (both globally & locally developed) implemented well to create demand and deliver more volume at higher value. This person is to be the Primary Brand Ambassador, representing the brand and Shell in all official functions.
- Accountable to deliver the profitability target and brand health development (awareness, preference, trial, market share/usage, loyalty) for B2B Lubricants in Malaysia & Singapore, including collaboration with lubricants sold through retail, direct and indirect channel
- End to end ownership of the full 4 Ps (including pricing) of marketing for the assigned brand to reach customers in the most efficient and impactful way possible in order to deliver the growth targets
- Develop clear long term strategy to grow faster than the market to improve both premium mix, market share and overall profit growth
- Own assigned brand portfolio and associated portfolio health metrics, including product life cycle and inventory working capital.
- Accountable for Sales, Promotions & Advertising (SP&A) planning, execution and return on investment leveraging advanced analytics and insights to plan and evaluate most efficient ways to reach target audience.
- Manage agencies and vendors to effectively develop outsourced elements of the marketing mix, requiring marketing briefs, contract negotiations, project management, adherence to brand guidelines and timely delivery.

- Lead, plan and develop Shell fuels brand portfolio by growing brand value & performance in accordance to the Retail’s strategic priorities and key objectives
- Responsible for the implementation of Shell Fuels [Shell V-Power & Shell Fuelsave] customer value proposition (CVP), as well as forecourt activity within budget, timeframe specified in the marketing plan, leading project teams comprising of functional managers, operational experts, agency professionals, etc. It covers the whole spectrum from conducting Labs, coordinating with Sales & Operations, creating integration with functional managers, introduction of final campaign mechanics with Retail regional teams and/or Retailers.
- Initiates local brands and CVP activity by working on communications with inventory owned by global retail marketing
- Retail Subject Matter Expert on Fuel Brands (Shell V-Power and Shell Fuelsave), develop and conduct product knowledge and marketing training program for new joiners, partners and Retailers
- Key player on the development and implementation of 3-years marketing plan (especially fuels led initiatives), management of CAPEX, OPEX to grow profitable fuels volume
- Ensure all local site-level marketing materials and image standards are in line with global and retail standards with close supervision of local retail fuels marketing budget.
- Continuously monitor implementation of plans, ensure that plan timeline/cost limitations are met, provide update and be willing to intervene on plan performance, and resolve under-performance when necessary. Develop and implement clear action plans to address fuels volume/profitability/costs gap vs target.
- Work closely with global teams and keep a healthy challenge and support process going to leverage on each other strengths and inputs.
