Purpose
  • Ensure the coordination of Power Supply and Distribution System Work design with all stakeholders of the project for the MRT2 Project.
  • The Interface Engineer shall assist with and coordinate the work under the Contract with all Interfacing Parties and with Stakeholders who are affected by the work under the Contract. Such coordination activities require the implementation of interface management techniques to efficiently manage interfaces that can be design, installation, testing, commissioning or construction related.
  • You will also be responsible to take all necessary steps to ensure that the work under the Contract are coordinated and integrated with the works of the Interfacing Parties. Therefore a proactive approach is required in identifying interface requirement and seeking out interface issues and their solutions with the Interfacing Parties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the scope split definition between Client Consortium and other Project Stakeholders, including establishment/update of the scope as per the Contract Requirements; and working with Colas engineers and designers to establish and develop the different Interface Controlled Documents that contain the interface between Client Consortium and the other involved parties such as Civil or Other System. Update the Interface Controlled Document as required during design development and key decisions made during meetings.
  • Interface with other System Contractors to ensure CRCO’s requirements are being communicated and formalised as well as the other System’s WPC requirements are being integrated in our design according to the contract.
  • Assist in the coordination activities with the review of the civil scope design drawings for stations, guideway, substations and depots to confirm suitability with Client Consortium scope of work. This requires significant liaison with various internal stakeholders (Client’s engineers, designers,…) as well as external civil/client stakeholders (station designers - architects/engineers, guideway designers, etc.).
  • Follow the interface management systems set up to achieve a fully coordinated design covering all aspects of interface requirements including; identification, management, control and validation
  • Report the progress of the interface works to the Interface Manager on a regular basis
  • Support development of key handover and QC documents for civil scope. Support review and acceptance of civil handover/QC material
  • Support and facilitate various analysis related to interfacing between Client Consortium and Civil scope (such room layout, grounding/stray current provisions, etc…).
  • Attending regular interface meetings and facilitating actions through publishing minutes of meeting  and letters  if  required.  Write  correspondence to  support  the  flow  of informationbetween Project Management and the client, procurement and the suppliers, and stakeholders within the company
  • To assist in obtaining all required information via tools such as Request for Information process to other interfacing parties
  • To provide technical interface support to design and design installation team via site survey and site progress report throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • To assist the different team in the lifecycle of the project, such as Delivery Team, T&C team, etc…
  • Any other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time pertaining to the interest of Client Asia’s Projects or Future Projects.
Subdivision of work:
  • Site Activities: 10% (will vary as project progress)
  • Interfacing and Engineering Activities: 90%
Qualifications:
  • University Level Education: Engineering Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Execution Phase in the Railway Industry from System Perspective
  • Relevant railway multi-discipline system engineering experience
  • Ability to multi-task while being creative and innovative
  • Aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and under pressure
  • Ability to communicate succinctly at a professional and technical level in direct contact with the customer, team and senior management
  • Strong capabilities in problem solving in complex project and business environments
  • Good English proficiency level
