Our client is one of the most profitable oil and gas business in the region for offshore facilities. They are currently on the lookout for a Marine system SME to be based at their office in Malaysia.
Brief Job Scope:
  • Lead, manage and apply technical expertise to marine systems design
  • Participate in design development, system design and evaluation of equipment specifications
  • You will be responsible for vessel selection and RLE works to ensure accuracy in costing and effective coordination
  • Fully responsible for mooring and topsides interface management
  • Maintain contact with classification societies, regulatory bodies, professional bodies and equipment manufacturers
  • Monitor the conversion of vessel to ensure work is carried out in the shipyard accordingly to approved drawings and specifications and comply to acceptable marine standards
Requirement:
  • Preferably an ex-Chief Marine Officer who sailed on VLCCs and has acquired good knowledge to her marine systems
  • Minimum 15 years in marine and offshore conversion project - preferably from VLCCs to FPSOs/FSOs
  • Subject matter expert in marine systems design and specification
  • Turnkey involvement with vessel conversion to offshore floating storage and offloading facilities
  • Able to work independently and an effective team player
  • Candidates working for mega yards dealing with conversion projects will have advantage

  • Min 8 years of working experience in Recruitment
  • Experience in Recruitment Life Cycle (end to end) & processes
  • Canddiate from oil & gas industry will have advantage - but not a must
  • Experience in recruiting for technical & business/commercial positions (from executive up to senior positions)
  • Familiar with recruitment tracking system
  • Qualification: Degree in Human Resource or other relevant qualification
