RM 3,500 - RM 5,000 a month - Full-time, Contract

Responsibilities: Reporting to HSE Officer Overall purpose of job: Enforcement of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) rules and regulations in the yard. Main activities / tasks : Ensures that all operations confirm to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and maintains high safety standards. Audit and ensure the gas test/check for confine space is carried out by the competence person prior commence activity. Audit and ensure permits-to-work (Hot or Cold) are obtained and approved by the area owner and displayed during the activity. Audit and ensure scaffolding erected has been inspected and approved by the authorize inspector prior using by other personnel. Participate in the preparation of JHA and ensure all the personnel involve at the work area are being cascaded of the hazard. Identification of unsafe acts & unsafe conditions and control. Encourage team members to develop ideas for improvements in operation that may contribute to improve Health, Safety & Environmental Programme. Ensure reporting of all accidents/ incidents, and investigate them involving their men. Ensure that the workers are provided with the required Personal Protective Equipment and the workers use them in the proper way. Any other associated tasks and responsibilities related to HSE assigned from time to time. Educational Requirements Must have Certificate or Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Marine / Electrical Engineering with safety related training in home Experience Requirements At least 2 year(s) exposure to TA/SD and/or construction environment of work in the Oil/Gas/Petrochemical Sectors. Obtained and valid with DOSH Yellow Book Abroad and related working experience preferable. Special requirement (tools & equipment used, external contracts etc.) Good application knowledge of various types of firefighting and safety equipment. Good knowledge of the various parts of vessels. Other features of job (shift or night work, travel, working conditions etc.): Be prepared to work long hours during weekdays and on weekends and public holidays. Must be able to adapt to changes (work procedures) at short notice.
