JOB VACANCY-Engineering Planner (MALAYSIA)

Aker Solutions' Application Engineering-Support Team based in Port Klang, is responsible for supporting the multi-disipline products in Application Engineering. We need Engineering Planner who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the subsea market. We are looking for Engineering Planner.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • To plan, support and monitor the capacity and workload of Application Engineering resources especially in assisting the development, maintenance and adherence of processes and procedures associated with Engineering KPI’s, PEM process and Global engineering processes
  • To take information from Project Planners, Project Managers and Tender Teams and assimilate into a suitable form for networking, develop and maintain a consolidated engineering plan utilising Excel, SAP, Sarepta and MS Project as required
  • Focus on existing project workload and forecasting of projects at tender stage, advise on needs to meet customer completion dates and assessing the effect on concurrent projects
  • To analyse production schedules and company deliveries to ensure customer on time delivery
  • Highlight any capacity constraints in a timely manner with proposed options
  • To review, advise delivery dates for new and current orders thought interfacing with relevant groups
  • To update computer database systems as required reflecting the latest situation of status for use management reports
  • To assist in estimating engineering hours requirement for quotations
  • To condense the network activities as required into a summary charts to enable management to assess the overall status and provide the facility for assessing the effect of any changes to the schedule
  • To develop and enhance current process and reporting procedures associated with the Engineering KPI’s, PEM process and Global engineering processes

Qualifications and Personal Qualities:

  • Minimum a Degree in Business Management, Information Technology or Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in similar project or planning role
  • Independent, self-driven and proven planning ability
  • Ability to collate, analyse and make improvement proposals based upon data gathering
  • Experience in SAP, highly knowledgeable in reports and data gathering
  • Experience in planning software i.e. MS Project, Primavera and Sarepta
  • Strong MS Excel skills with the ability to explore and write macros for automation
  • Good interpersonal relationship, communication skills, sound knowledge of the English language both written and spoken
  • Practical knowledge of design processes is an added advantage
  • Flexible attitude towards work and an eagerness to learn new skills
